I've made dozens of cables with these connectors. When you first plug the cable in, it works fine, but if you tug the connector up, down, left, or right a bit, there comes a point where the connection drops or the 1 Gbps speed drops 100 Mbit/s drops. In a server room with dozens of connections where the cables frequently twitch and twitch, you end up with a broken connection or two that has caused dozens of unpaid hours of troubleshooting. I tested 6 patch cords I made. with these connectors on four different switches and they all fail when you start moving and pulling the wires. Today I replaced 5 pairs of connectors on 5 patch cords with a different brand of connector on the same length of cable using the same crimping tool and no matter how I wiggle and wiggle the cables, the connections don't break and are maintained at 1Gb/s. So I just did it threw away the rest of my stash of connectors from that brand and went back to my previous brand.
