As a transgender woman, when I learned that the upcoming competition required a groin guard, I panicked. The male cup created a huge humiliating bump. I don't really hide my status; The rest of my team knows, my coaches know. I don't broadcast to strangers on the street, but I don't try to hide it either. However, such a bulge is unacceptable to me. I bought this in hopes of being able to use it while it's being refilled. I wasn't sure if they would work at all. To my surprise and delight, it works even more efficiently than a cup. It is very comfortable, I can take a beating in the groin, all vital organs are protected and I can wear it discreetly. I realize this review isn't particularly helpful for reading cis folklore, but I hope it can help another transgender athlete. Find a groin protection solution that works.
