Easy mesh setup

I bought 2 individual routers because I could get them for a better price than a set of 2 mesh devices. Setting up the grid was pretty easy. On the Advanced Settings page there is a Router Mode option to switch between Access Point (default for a device), Master Access Point or Slave Access Point. After restarting the devices, the mesh network works as expected. I set up both routers offline while my old router was connected to a modem and continued to provide internet to the rest of the family. When I was ready to switch, I simply rebooted my modem with the Azores Master AP attached, and within minutes everything was up and running on the mesh network. Pros: * Setup is easy. * Individual devices can be configured as slaves or masters for the mesh network. The mesh network can be easily expanded. * 4 Ethernet ports per device. Most mesh routers I've looked at only include 2 ports per device. Cons: * No port forwarding. I misunderstood the seller's answer when someone asked about this feature, but I need this feature for some of my applications. * The Android app is downloaded as an APK. You need to bypass Android warnings about installing apps from unknown sources. * The default configuration is to use the Wi-Fi password as the admin password on the router. It could be a browser interface, but the mobile app still uses the Wi-Fi password for access. Any family member with a WiFi password will have admin access if they download the mobile app. * Faster Wi-Fi internet speed than my previous AC router. My "gigabit" wired internet typically downloads around 900 Mbps. My old router overclocked to 500Mbps on a WiFi speed test. Right now I'm getting about 700Mbps on average over Wi-Fi. Overall, these routers seem to work well and offer affordable mesh WiFi for networks that don't need advanced configurations. It would fit well in my aunt's house which is very spacious. They currently have 3 wireless access points with inexpensive routers that don't broadcast when walking around the house. For me, port forwarding is essential. I will be returning these routers if I can't convince my aunt to buy them from me.
