Great product at a great price

Great product at a great price. This is actually the second 501 we have purchased and the fourth TV Guardian unit. 501 is HDMI and it works very well. We have an AT&T U-Verse and it works great. If you've never used TV Guardian, we highly recommend it. There's enough junk in there to keep you out of your house. Unfortunately, we've seen a few bad-worded commercials lately, and these commercials aren't CCed, so unfortunately this doesn't block them. TV Guardian requires CC (Closed Captioning) to work. The new shows are very well received. Some older shows may be slightly different depending on how well CC was done on the show. They don't work on Blu-ray players or TVs with built-in receivers. The reception must be from another source, run through this box and then be output to the television. Again worth the money. It arrived on the first expected day. Everything expected was received. I noticed that they changed the remote from the original 501. The original 501 had a slightly larger remote (same specs) with a bracket to mount it to. Not this bracket. The metal body has a cheap feel as it feels like it will detach from the underside of the machine, but then again it gets the job done and is well worth the money. Nothing else does what it does.
