Review on 🐾 Extra Wide Portable Pet Ramp - 71 Inch Long Tri-Fold Ramp by Pet Gear by Erin Buck

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well for labs over 80 pounds. Stable, strong.

My labrador is about 12 years old and has had a hard time jumping into my truck for the past few months. So far I've picked it up and put it on the seat every time. Not a big task, but the old man doesn't like being picked up. I ordered this ramp to use when I'm too tired to lift or when I'm wearing clothes I don't want to take off. covered with dog fur. It works exactly as described. 25 minutes of training in a horizontal position on the floor, then on a couch, and finally in a truck, and now he's climbing pretty well. Pros: Does exactly what it's marketed for. Creates a stable ramp from the ground to my truck door sill for the dog to climb up. Easily supports a dog over 80 pounds. Wide enough so it won't accidentally come loose. Fairly compact for a sturdy ramp that folds into three sections. and can carry so much weight. It fits easily in the trunk or in the back seat of any car or truck/SUV. It features an integrated carrying handle and a locking hinge that prevents the ramp from being unfolded for storage. Glued sandpaper over it. Easy to replace when worn. Rubber grips around the edges of the ramp to keep it from sliding on the floor or off the car. The downsides are obvious: It's not tiny. But in his defense, this is a 70-inch-long, 20-inch-wide plastic ramp that can support a 200-pound dog. Did you expect it to fit in your purse? When folded, it's about a foot thick, 20 inches wide, and just over two feet long. He weighs about 29 pounds. May be a little heavy and bulky for a weaker person. If you have a dog of this size that requires this ramp, you should be able to control the dog better. If you can't lift this ramp, you won't be able to control your big dog if he runs away either. Think about it. The attached surface of the sandpaper wears out fairly quickly. Eventually you will have to replace it with your own sticky sandpaper.
