I needed a new grip for my 93ft RV and couldn't find a factory Fleetwood grip so I settled on this lighted one. I had a flashlight installed next to my standard grip so there were cords nearby so it wasn't hard to light. This pen seems pretty solid and comes with a built in LED light, so I just connected the positive and negative wires together. Mine runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and due to very little traction I'm not worried about it draining the batteries and I have a solar panel. I installed the top mount first, and then when I installed the bottom mount, I maintained the pressure while tightening the screws to ensure a tight fit.
