Review on 🌡️ Cuisinart CSG-466 Digital Folding Probe Thermometer: Accurate Temperature Monitoring in Sleek Black Design by Robert Tyus

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Accuracy within 3°C, response time 15 seconds, weak

Accuracy in boiling water within 2°C (reading 98°C); Accuracy for ice water to 3°C (read 3°C); Accuracy at room temperature within 2°C. Slow: It takes more than 15 seconds to detect the temperature. Cheap plastic, not waterproof. Do not immerse in water, the bowels and battery compartment will be flooded immediately. Uses 2 AAA batteries (not included). Fragile plastic construction with black silicone sleeve that must be removed for battery replacement or cleaning. The probe is awkward to pull out. It has a strong metal probe connected to a fragile plastic body. I also have an ultra-fast RT600C waterproof digital pocket thermometer that costs 3 times the price, is waterproof, accurate (within 1-2°C for ice/cooking), fast (within 2-5 seconds), and much better.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Newer model could have been chosen
