Virtual Runner operates on the same principle just like any other form of running, with the exception that the race may be completed in any place, at any speed, on a track or outside in another place! All you have to do is enter a race and show proof of participation and if you win or top the leaderboard a virtual medal is mailed to you. In plain sense fir easy understanding, you are basically running for charity. The platform was founded in 2015 and is also a fundraising platform that has helped smaller charity organizations in the past to raise funds.
Generally, joining in and racing against yourself (or others!) costs between £6 and £15 every race. After converting this amount to my local currency, I found out that it wasn't going to benefit me at all. I just had to deposit it since the money was also going to charity. With a target of £1,000,000, Virtual Runner has been able to raise about £652,930. They've helped alot of charity organizations as well and as such I'll encourage my readers to donate a few pounds in order to help the company fulfil their goals. For easier outreach, there's a mobile app available for download in Google Playstore and Apple store as well.
