We share truth and fiction from reviews of this product.

VERY mixed feelings about it. I have read all the reviews and they are so muddled that they are not particularly helpful. I'll try to post things here. The first point has been noticed by others but not explained well, so I'll see what I can do about it: There are three hoses - red and blue for the high and low pressure sides of the system, and yellow for the connector. either to the vacuum pump or to the refrigerant tap/valve. The yellow hose is threaded for R-12 systems (they aren't that common in the US anymore, and R-12 is almost unavailable). US vehicles have used R-134A refrigerant since about 1993. This means that the yellow hose will most likely not fit the tap/valve you purchased for use with R-134A refrigerant cylinders. Whether it connects to your vacuum pump depends on the pump. Some have two threaded connection options - one suitable for each type of hose, others only one. You'll need to check your pump to see if you need an adapter. Revain lists three other items commonly purchased with these gauges. I am attaching their photos so you can get the information you need. -- The first *must* be the adapter you need to adapt your R-134A faucet/valve to the yellow hose. I say "should" because mine hasn't arrived yet, but I'll change that if that doesn't work. -- The second is a vacuum pump adapter, NOT suitable for adapting the pump to the yellow hose. I'm not sure why people buy this. I got one and it didn't do anything I needed. Just hope your vacuum pump has fittings of both sizes (look for two caps on the brass fitting - see photos I post). If you need an adapter for your pump because it only has a trapezoidal thread, the FJC 6015 R134A refrigerant tank adapter is probably what you need. not FJC 6014. -- Third tap R-134A/valve. If you are using small canisters (not large) of R-134A refrigerant you will need this, but you will need an adapter to attach the yellow hose to these gauge sets. Fast connection problems: I don't have any. My quick couplers worked and fitted well. Pressure gauge and valves: There were no problems with that. or. I suspect they're not rocket science accurate, but they're certainly close enough for a car's air conditioning. Long story short I would give this 5 stars if it actually included an adapter to connect an R-134A faucet/valve to the yellow hose. Make sure you order what you need (and not what doesn't work) at the same time.
