Excellent quality for the DIY enthusiast

For the DIY enthusiast these sensors have worked flawlessly. I could clearly see the numbers on the scale. I had to pull a 28 inch vacuum on the truck before charging the AC system. The gauges worked as specified. Anyway, the vacuum portion of the gauge could have been a bit bigger, but other than that, I have no complaints. I have air conditioning again in my old Silverado!.

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • New competition has arrived

Great pressure gauge set, the best in air conditioning tools and equipment

Nice pressure gauge set. Of all the negative reviews I read, the positive reviews were good enough for me and they turned out to be good. Received my kit today, everything worked as it should, the sensors read accurately, my air conditioning worked fine and cold. Worth the money as I didn't spend $90 at a mechanical shop. I recommend this sensor set for professional mechanics or shadow lovers.

  • Elegant design

Pressure gauge and valves work perfectly. Two disappointments: (1) .

Gauges and valves work well. Two disappointments: (1) No R134a 14oz faucet adapter; Threads are not compatible. [This may be a serious fault of the cylinder valve, which is not part of this kit.] (2) The high-pressure connector (red) is not fully inserted into the vehicle connector. [I got the impression it was a small but important manufacturing defect. I solved the problem by buying a separate pair of connectors - connectors with built-in valves that allowed connection to the car's air…

Waste of money on tools and equipment

I hated this thing. I'd like to say it's all the collector's fault, but I'm pretty sure there's some sort of user error here as well. But I've been trying to use it for a week. It could never fit well enough to get the vacuum I needed. I searched the internet and it turned out to be more for something other than a car air conditioner. I ended up buying another one elsewhere and most likely overpaid. Brought it home and it worked like a charm right away. So I'm sure I ran into some sort of error

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!

Quick couplers are junk.

I wanted to test the correct functioning of the air conditioning in one of my cars. The gauge itself may be fine but if it cheapens the accessories (quick connects) it makes the product unsuitable for use in an R143a system. Spring-loaded clamps literally slip past the fitting and the hose flies off, spraying refrigerant everywhere. If you like getting freon in your eyes, this product is for you. Connection not possible due to defective quick couplings at the factory. I have never seen such…

It's cheap for a reason

You get what you pay for. After 2 months the bottom gauge was stuck at 20psi. To update. The seller emailed me with instructions on how to re-zero the gauge, which reset the needle to zero. I didn't click on it to see if it would misread again. The letter asked me to change the rating or he will be fired. found it interesting. Dear ------------, Sorry to bother you. For the Lower Side Gauge Stuck at 20psi issue, simply open the lower side gauge and then use flat head screwdriver. to set the…

I hope you get a better set than me.

To be honest I regret buying this set. For my price I was between these sensors and went to the port and took advantage of the 20% discount to get them for about the same price. I wish I had gone with a port cargo kit. They HOPE do the job for you, the problem with mine is that the quick release on the high pressure side doesn't engage/release well which means I probably dumped about 1 ounce of freon every time I try to attach these lines or to solve. Another complaint I have is that there are…

We share truth and fiction from reviews of this product.

VERY mixed feelings about it. I have read all the reviews and they are so muddled that they are not particularly helpful. I'll try to post things here. The first point has been noticed by others but not explained well, so I'll see what I can do about it: There are three hoses - red and blue for the high and low pressure sides of the system, and yellow for the connector. either to the vacuum pump or to the refrigerant tap/valve. The yellow hose is threaded for R-12 systems (they aren't that…
