Ideal for use as per design

This is a wonderful little circuit, only about 0.75" x 75", and if you plug it into a 7 volt DC supply, it's 5 volts or more, get a USB charger in no time. Using a few extra connectors, scrap wire, and pieces of PVC pipe, I made a dual-output USB charger that's powered by a lithium battery from a cordless drill. It took about an hour, not counting the wait for the paint to dry. When used for their intended purpose, these things are great. A previous reviewer tried to use them "off-label" and unfairly gave them a low rating.
