I got this because my pants often don't have pockets to put my phone in. The strap works, but there are pros and cons to this approach to carrying a phone. At first I just wore the strap as a regular neck strap, but I found that the phone wobbled and hit things (including me) when I moved or walked, so I found extending it and wearing it over my shoulder was the best solution . This kept my phone close to me where it wouldn't shake as much and hit things like furniture, doors, etc. But then I discovered the real problem for me: I could no longer use my phone charger QI. Luckily I attached the strap to the phone case and not directly to the phone so I can take the phone out of the case to use the QI charger, but it's a headache. I bought a thinner case specifically for the QI charger. At the moment I just charge my phone the old fashioned way with a USB cable, but this annoys me. I should have thought better of that before getting the strap. So while the strap solves one problem (no pockets), it creates another (cannot use QI phone charger). On the positive side, there are two straps included in the package. . I use pink and my husband has black (if he ever chooses what he doesn't have). The straps are well made and work. I like the fact that when I don't want to wear the strap myself, I can hook the base piece around my fingers, which ensures I don't drop my phone. I've also used the base to connect my phone to my backpack's molle system, which makes it really useful. Oh, by base I mean the part that attaches directly to the back of the phone. This base has a ring at the top with a small section that you can press to remove or attach to the top itself. There is also a fabric loop at the base which I use to attach it to my molle items (I have both a backpack and a fanny pack that use molle). So basically it works. What annoys me the most is this QI charge. But I should have expected/realized this before attaching the strap to my phone. It's just a consideration.
