Works normally when the connection order is correct and additional cables are connected.
This is a great adapter for connecting a PS2 keyboard to a USB port. At first I had trouble detecting the adapter and turning on the keyboard, but with a reviewer's suggestion from Revain Clearline (March 2014) I was able to get it working. The suggestion was to just plug the adapter into a USB port, let the PC recognize it, and then plug in the PS2 keyboard. Voila! Also, I couldn't get the adapter to work with both unpowered and powered USB extension cords, so I ended up using a 25ft PS2 extension cord instead of a USB extension cord.
