My son has saved up for a system for his car and like me likes good clean bass but doesn't want to go deaf or shake the neighbors' pictures off the wall. in his car and I was pleasantly surprised that they were louder than expected and had a great clean bass line. Something seemed a little off. As if they could be louder. I quickly realized that his recipient was different from mine. I have a lot more settings and he doesn't have many options. So we bought a new receiver, just like the one in my truck. It sounded much stronger when the receiver was properly tuned. I was impressed with the speaker quality, cabinet construction, carpeting and branded stitching. The amp looks a bit weak, but it did its job. We haven't stressed them much or for very long so I can't say how long they will last. They seem to be well made so I'm not worried. The factory packaging is great. I suspect these speakers will last as my son knows the difference between good sound and distortion and understands the consequences of trying to play something at full volume. We found a sweet spot at volume 52 (receiver jumps to 62). Combined with Rockford Fosgate door and rear speakers and factory tweeters. Sounds amazing! Keep in mind that you won't win audio competitions, but you will have great sound and a slight kick that you will feel in your chest.
