Review on Epson V11H795020 PowerLite 1780W Projector by Bohyun Hansen

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Large size and suitable for travel.

This is a great projector. Notes: For a one-time use, many will likely just need to put the projector in Eco mode to turn off the fan. Fan noise is unlikely to be an issue for large presentations. Also, the display is much brighter when it's not in Eco mode. The slider on the lens effectively mutes the display in Eco mode and Normal mode. A slide in Eco mode sounds almost as if the projector is switched off, while in Normal mode this is not the case. However, there is a shutdown timer that the user should be aware of, which will cause a wait and possibly an awkward moment for the speaker while the projector warms up again. Wireless: The device works in this mode and is quite easy to set up. using the equipment supplied with the product. I couldn't connect to the projector without the software that came with it. After installing the software on my computer, I was able to connect to the device. Video streaming and some special effects range from clunky to almost acceptable over the air. Perhaps this will be overcome with the advent of new AC wireless technology. Anyway, no wireless streaming of anything other than static slides for now. Sometimes even the transitions in this mode are a bit awkward. Despite these shortcomings, this feature is still very useful, especially in the office or in small groups. Also note that presenter mode does not work with the included wireless software. It only mirrors your screen and doesn't use it as a separate monitor. Hope that helps.
