My son has been a hockey goaltender for 12 years and as he got older it became more difficult to find something to get rid of that horrible stench from his gear, uniform and underwear. He's on the ice or in the gym 5-6 days a week, 11 months a year, playing with 2-3 teams. A few years ago, while looking for a new product to try, Sweat X Sport Extreme powder detergent popped up in my Revain ad and I gave it a try. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked. My son comes home from practice, the gym, and the games soaked and smelly to high heaven. Everything goes straight into the washer and a quick wash with a full cap of this stuff and that body odor is gone in one wash. These are things that he often wears and uses and washes just as often. The smell of this product isn't off-putting or anything and my son doesn't complain about it, but things don't come out of the wash with that nice "clean linen" smell. To somehow accomplish this, I started tossing half a cap of Downy Unstoppables in the washing machine, the same one in a dark blue bottle labeled Active Fresh for Sports, which helps freshen his underwear and uniform on the road. to wash.
