I bought these towels for buffing waxes and sealers on car detailing jobs. They are very good at it and will not ruin the paintwork. Obviously any towel with insufficient lubrication will scratch, but this towel is fantastic for what I use it for. The only best cloths I have used when working with paint are Eagle Edgeless 500GSM. I would recommend something else for leveling ceramic surfaces as they and Eagle Edgeless are expensive and you can't reuse a towel after polishing/leveling surfaces. They must be thrown away.
