
This part is an original equipment manufacturer with no dealer surcharge. My old water pump (original since new) also had the brand Aisin. carried out without removing the engine (see tutorials on YouTube). The engine is a V6, 3.5 liter, the only engine for this year and model. The same engine and water pump fit a number of other vehicles. On the van the water pump pulley is almost dead on the frame of the car so like others I jacked the car up front and then used a jack to raise the engine slightly to clear the passenger side. Engine mount has been removed (see tutorials). I didn't have to remove the tires or any underbody parts. A wide range of metric sockets and wrenches are highly recommended including ratchet wrenches, extensions and inch pound torque wrench values. I'm not a professional mechanic, but I have a lot of experience with professional-level automotive and industrial heavy machinery and tools. In the conditions of the store it took me about 6 hours (I'm slow but careful). PS I did NOT use RTV sealant on the new water pump gasket that came with it. I also did not see it on the native seal. So far, so good. (My water pump leak was due to the water pump shaft seal (ruptured hole). The bearings came out after about 270,000 miles). FYI: I used RTV sealant on the water pump bolt threads.
