It was needed when it was necessary to perform an intrawall installation repair that required the dismantling of wall tiles, which required cutting off a metal solid lining. Without removing the nipple or shut-off valve, it is impossible to install a new one. Since I have decided not to risk a new leak, this split type is the ideal product. Easy to install and looks pretty good (just make sure the "connector" is vertical under the feed nipple). The only criticism is the price for a small piece of chrome-plated plastic. However, this is the case if you just "pay the person" and get the job done.
