I wish I had switched to wax crayons years ago! It's awesome. I've wanted to try wax crayons for a long time but put it off because they're expensive. The crayons were a usual gift and I felt like a waste buying another version of what we already had. But every time we took out the crayons, I thought about how long it takes for most crayons to break - hundreds of years! I'm gradually replacing things with natural alternatives and I wish I hadn't waited so long to make the transition. The colors are bright and vibrant. They are just as bright and vibrant as standard colored pencils like Crayola. It smells pleasantly slightly of beeswax. Filani colored pencils have a softer feel than other standard pencils such as Crayola or Prang. They go very smoothly, perhaps comparable to using oil pastels. I don't like kid versions of things, especially art supplies, as I find they're usually just cheap and difficult to use. IDK if art quality crayons exist, but it's definitely not cheap baby quality. It looks like art materials, not like a child's imitation. I'm also very happy that they are made in the USA. The main bonus is here! You're worth it. I will happily donate our standard crayons and switch to them for our family.
