The camera and leather on the actual ball look as new when I received them. I blow it up for an average of 45 minutes every other day, and when I'm done I just leave it in a muggy garage in the heat (and humidity) of the Deep South for the rest of the day and into the next. I know that I may not have stored it properly after every use and that that part of the speedbag can experience the most friction after every scramble, but I wish a company could make a strap that wouldn't wear out after a lot of practice. Friction. But I think it's worth the money as a beginner and you might save a year by testing the loop before and after use. Heck, personally I was flattered when it broke.
