I had to replace the socket on my 30Amp RV Extension due to corrosion on one of the old plug's terminals. The original was sealed so I had to cut the old connector off with a hacksaw and then use a knife to remove the outer layer of rubber insulation. The 10 gauge wire used for 30 amp service isn't the easiest to work with, but if you have a decent wire stripper, #1 and #2 Phillips screwdriver and are following the directions, it can take 15 minutes . If you are using the US standard system of measurement, you must convert the recommended cable length from millimeters to inches. For those who forgot their first-time conversion, there's 25.4mm in an inch. Even though the product is made in China, the instructions were much better than what we usually see on Chinese products. This is definitely a cost saver compared to replacing the entire cable.
