I chose the slightly more expensive model because it has 1200w instead of 1000w and needed to heat water in 1-2 minutes even when full. Not so! I measured the one I received with a stopwatch and when it filled to the 0.8 liter mark it took 4min 20sec, 4min 15sec and even 4min. BUT with a slightly more conventional cup of water, it took 2 minutes to brew a cup of tea. As I will be using it for myself and one cup at a time, this is acceptable to me. Just wanted people to know. I don't know the 1000 watt model. It shows 4-6 minutes but needs more time.
