Review on KYB KG4762 Gas A Just Gas Shock by Star Bell

I have worked with cars most of my life and have used KYB products for a long time. I've recently had an urge to drive my aging Toyota 4x4 harder and the KYB techs suggested it when I spoke to them on the phone. I jumped in here and ordered them straight away from JUST SUSPENSION here on Revain. The price was right and delivery was quick. Unfortunately, although the shocks arrived brand new in clean packaging with all plastic straps attached, they were unusable and had no internal gas charge right out of the box! With the belts removed, the shocks didn't stretch at all, and when fitted to the car they felt swollen more than the factory shocks, popping on small bumps, transferring road bumps into the cabin and putting unnecessary stress on my other suspension components. Unfortunately, this isn't the kind of shock you can charge yourself, so I was very disappointed with this bad buy. It seems like KYB's quality control has dropped a lot since I first started using their products 15 years ago! As much as it pains me to say this, I do NOT recommend this product.
