This is a good book if you are an intermediate or intermediate seamstress looking for ways to make quality designer clothes at home. The photographs in this book are stunning and a great source of ideas. Power Sewing has a strong focus on simulating high quality clothing that will last a lifetime. Some tricks are good for everyday use, but in general if you want to follow their tricks and tips, be prepared to invest some time and money. Many of their offerings require the use of expensive materials that are difficult to find locally. For beginners, I recommend one of the Easy Guide to Sewing books published by Taunton.
