Bought on Black Friday, installed mid December. This is my 5th dashcam setup (all wired, three different styles) in my personal car, so I have a lot of experience. The installation itself was pretty easy, although the rear camera had to be installed upside down (there is a way to adjust the picture after that). Sentry mode was inconsistent at best and I wouldn't choose this feature again as I usually park in my driveway. It's recorded continuously rather than with motion detection, and no settings change that. If the camera worked, the video was fine. But not much better than my old A118c this unit replaced. However, at the end of January (less than 2 months after installation), the device randomly gave a double beep. This got worse over the next month and after a double beep the device shut down. I would have to turn it back on by pressing the power button. I contacted Viofo, who recommended various things to me (firmware update, using other memory cards, etc.). Nothing worked and the device beeped twice about death and I had to restart it by hard reset (unplug/plug). NOT ideal while driving. In the end it didn't work at all. Eventually Viofo admitted the unit was crap and told me to send it TO CHINA (at my expense) and if it couldn't be fixed he would send me another one. This was five months after purchase and after several months of email correspondence. Too much for 12-18m full guarantee, right? I don't understand how this product has so many 5 star reviews. After hearing what happened, Revane kindly took it back and gave me the money back. I went back to my old A118c which still works great. So buy this device at your own risk as Viofo will NOT honor the warranty.
