After two months of use with both red wine, which I keep at room temperature after opening, and white wine, which I keep in the fridge, these lids do their job well enough. You won't keep a sparkling wine like Moscato d'Asti for more than a day or so, but for my purposes that's fine. I don't think they are airtight and keep open bottles upright. It took me a few minutes to realize that when tightening the cap on the bottle I need to hold the base tight so it doesn't rotate with the top. Part. There were no instructions on how to clean the caps (i.e. can they be washed in the dishwasher?). I hand wash them in soapy water, rinse well and let dry completely before reusing. So far this works for me.
