Compared to the factory fan, it looks exactly the same, only the hamster wheel is shorter when you put it on the round end. It doesn't interfere with the installation. On first listening it seems that it makes more noise. There are no problems yet, but there was no real driving. The auto parts store had one for $90. If I knew how difficult it would be to install, I could get a more expensive one here at Revain (hopefully that would mean it's better). I would like to say that even with a lot of YouTube video research, installing one of them took 6 hours, mostly suffered. You'll need to replace the resistor while you're down there, and if you check it first, you can cut things a little shorter and at least let your old fan out for a while longer. I recommend starting with a vacuum in the driver's floor area. Because you will be there in everything. Removing the panel under the steering wheel and the air duct in the leg area is shown in the video. I'm not sure if this is strictly necessary, but it gives you more options to work with. This includes releasing the hood latch, which is difficult to put back together. You need to remove the side panel to the right of the driver's feet. It's just taken off. I hope you have done this before to replace the cabin air filter. You might as well change the filter while you're down there. They should be available at the auto parts store for around $10-15. You will need to remove the brake/accelerator pedal assembly. There is a black box with three electrical connectors with clips that need to be removed (it is recommended to disconnect the negative battery terminal beforehand). You'll also have to fight the U-shaped jig that's part of the brake pedal assembly, or just remove it. It may seem easy, but things don't want to cooperate and you'll be fighting down there to put the light where you need it and your hands where they're supposed to go, and if you're a little fella , you can fight with to gain strength in certain things. I needed a long socket wrench to loosen a couple of nuts. I recommend connecting the fan motor before installation. One of the big problems was plugging it in once it was physically installed. You will need: a Phillips screwdriver to remove the air duct and a few other things. Sometimes a short short helps. A torx bit or screwdriver is a fairly average size for under-the-wheel trim. Pliers with needle jaws for various things. Different types. Little lanterns that we hope will get where you need them and stay there. A vise or large pair of pliers if the fan motor is not turning as it should. Your body as it slides out of the car.
