i have an iphone 11 pro max so the first thing i did was connect the flash adapter to the usb device. I was immediately taken to the App Store to download and install the Y Disk app (free with no ads). Y Disk appears to be a dedicated media management application for this device. Not only could I transfer photos and videos, but also music and documents. The transfer speed of a 5 minute video from my phone to USB was fast. Took less than 60 seconds. Backup mode took 10 seconds to back up my contacts. The transfer speed of the backups seems to be fast. I would just make sure you have less than 128GB of photos and videos on your phone before backing it up. So far I'm really impressed.
