I'm frustrated that most external USB-C DACs don't connect directly to an iPhone with the included Lightning to USB cable. I used to have to flash from USB A (female) and then USB A to USB C just for my Fiio BTR5 to output a Hi-Fi signal to my HD 6XX and take full advantage of lossless mobile streaming services. But the added clutter quickly became a problem. This cable eliminates the mess in between and allows me to connect my iPhone to the BTR5 via a single cable with high quality signals, just like God intended. I have not attempted to use it to charge my iPhone and have no plans to use it solely as an audio accessory. I would recommend if you want to simplify mobile Hi-Fi setup.
