Great value for money

I bought this because I hate those headphone mic combos and thought I could use my older but very popular Kinivo Bluetooth headset and still have access to the mic . That is much. smaller and lighter than it looks in the photos (or maybe that's what I imagined lol) but it's big enough to act as a standalone mic. I set it on my desk about 18 inches (let's say about 45 centimeters) from my face and it's more than capable of picking up my voice and the reproduction is good, not outstanding, but more than enough for most singing situations . . I doubt I would record music with this thing. Plug and Play on my Win 10 based Lenovo desktop, worked flawlessly with this device. The USB cable is not very long, maybe 6 feet (1.8 meters). It's long enough to go from the USB port on the back of my DT cabinet, which sits on the floor under my desk, to the front edge of my desk, where I'm sitting. The cable has a LITTLE BIT of slack so I can move it around a bit, but I don't think I want to pull it too much. There is no need to talk about the minuses, this is a functional stand-alone microphone. However, I would have liked the base to be a bit heavier and the non-slip "pegs" to be a bit "sticky". The power button is fully functional and doesn't feel cheap or flimsy BUT you can't just toggle the mic on and off with a finger. Otherwise there is a risk of the stand tipping forward and/or the base being moved away from you. I think it's best to operate the power button with two fingers, one tap on the button and the other tap on the base. All in all, this is a functional and not too expensive microphone. Yes, it won't impress the sound engineer, but that's not what it's designed for.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Compatibility
