Not a scary toy. But it looks better on Revane than it really is. Firstly to address the sizing issue noted by other reviewers. We bought this for a 1 year old who is still squatting so in my honest opinion the toy size is spot on. However, if bought for an older child or toddler, it may actually appear too small. It measures 10" (length) x 6" (width) x 11 1/2" (height). Not including the bead maze at the top, it is 8" from the top of the elephant's trunk. This is not an electronic toy with flashing lights. , bells and whistles as well as many other similar toys. For some this will be a boon. But if you're looking for such a toy (hello Vtech and Leap Frog!) then this isn't it. Some issues we noticed: As other reviewers have noted, the ball and rope (at the base of the torso) are difficult to pull. Our year-old grandson can't handle this on his own. And to be honest, it's kind of a grandma and grandpa challenge. It There's a lot more excitement and effort than it should be - you have to grab the whole toy when you pull the ball out - and you get the feeling that something is about to break eventually.The rotating drum (beneath the counting beads) is difficult to turn .this is a bad au sled design and a complete failure. He shouldn't even be here. Removable bead maze at top. Obviously, the designers conceived it as a variant of an alternative game. Again, performance is questionable. The bead maze just lies loosely on top and is impossible to attach to the elephant. The result is an extremely wobbly maze that can easily be knocked off by an elephant. was returned by the previous owner. The box was torn open as if it had been opened before. And the toy had scratch marks consistent with previous use. If I had examined this toy carefully before throwing away the torn box I would definitely return it to Revane. It's not a total loss. With all the shortcomings, he still pleases the baby. But for the price, you can easily get more bang for your buck with just about every other similar product on Revain.
