Review on 🚲 Enhance Visibility and Safety with Blackburn's Flea Headlight Helmet Mount Kit by Jonathan Olson

I have used flea lights on my bike for years. Blackburn gives a lifetime guarantee on the flashlights and they work very well. I run about 100 miles a month, mostly before sunrise, and was hoping Blackburn would find a way to get a flea on my hat - I always wear a hat. I was thrilled when I saw this pack of hat/head/helmet mounts and ordered straight away. A "folded" plastic clip that relies on the elasticity of the plastic to hold it on the bill. It's a very tight crease and doesn't do much. My running caps (typical Nike, Reebok, etc.) have reflective strips on the brim, which makes the brim quite thick. One of my caps (Nike) feels like the clip breaks when I force it. As for others, I can add it to the bill, but it feels like I'm putting a lot of strain on the plastic. As long as it's in place, the flashlight is securely attached to the abacus, and I've had no issues with the light dropping or moving in about 6 runs. . The smallest angle of the clamp is good and can be slightly directed upwards if necessary. The reason for the 3 star rating is that I'm concerned that this stress on the plastic will eventually break the clip and cause the light to spill onto the road. The clip that Blackburn uses (made of metal) to attach the taillights to the bike would have been a good choice for a hat clip, but it wasn't their choice. I'm sure that due to the fact that it's a multi-purpose mount, Blackburn had to compromise to suit every application. I will let you know if I encounter any issues or if my concerns prove unfounded. Months and dozens of runs in the dark and the clip is fine. I'm still not thrilled with how it attaches, but it stays in place and isn't broken like I initially feared. I am increasing to 4 stars. As mentioned in my original review, I didn't use anything other than a lid clip.
