My 14 year old kitten was losing weight rapidly. He got tiny. Strangely, he was hungry all the time, he asked for food and ate a lot. Sometimes he vomited his food. i was so confused However, I didn't think I needed a blood test to confirm something strange was going on, so I read some reviews and found out that this product helps cats with hyperthyroidism. Based on my own research, I decided to feed him iodine-free food in addition to wet food. I don't know the scientific basis for this product but after a few weeks of use and an iodine free diet my cat has gained weight. He doesn't feel sick anymore either. I only feed my cat grain free (no fish or seafood) or wild chicken and turkey. No sign of iodine for him. I'm not a vet or anything and of course I can't say this works for others, but my 14 year old kitten was skin and bones and is now back to a healthy weight and beautiful coat!
