I put it in the sandy substrate in our hermit crab tank and it has a great consistency and also holds moisture up to .

So much substrate! This stuff expands in water and you have a lot of gorgeous coconuts! I added it to the sandy substrate in our hermit crab tank and it has great consistency and also retains moisture to help maintain humidity. Good product!
