Good brushes but cryptic markings

I thought my toothbrush came with soft ones so I ordered a medium replacement brush. Strangely, there is no indicator on the packaging that tells the shipper (or me) if they are soft/medium/hard. My last batch was also unlabeled. I like brushes but I'm confused. How does the shipper or supplier know if it is soft/medium/hard? How can I say?
