While not the healthiest option for the iguana, this is definitely a last resort addition or replacement. I feed my iguanas fresh vegetables daily and only give them a few times a week as a treat or when I'm down to half of my daily serving of vegetables left. However, my iguana can spot them from a mile away and eat them if you have your hand on them. I see the biggest disadvantage in the dyes used to color the pellets. You will notice brightly colored iguana stools, typically blue, after consumption. The dye is clearly not natural and necessary. I would say this is one of the most affordable commercial iguana foods out there.
