This thread binder arrived in the post today and as it was a stock purchase I checked it very carefully. I read many reviews before purchasing and I'm not sure I agree with some of the negative reviews. On the other hand, I use this thread organizer style differently than some other people. I don't think the posts are a problem, but I never try to unthread a thread while it's still on the post. I remove a piece of thread, remove the desired number of strands and put the rest back on the pin/stand. - I just store 2 lengths of thread (3 max) on pins and fasten them with slots in the foam. This will keep the foam tabs flat and free of gaps if you try to store too many pieces of filament at once. I only use 25 blades for a full 6 threads. Opposite tabs are used for threads of the same color that are less than 6 threads long and/or shorter than the partially used length. Based on my sewing technique, this approach works best for me. Paper inserts are fairly durable and double-sided (pleasant to the touch). The printed boxes match the corresponding boxes in the organizer quite well. they deviate a little but that doesn't matter much. I never use the "pinbar" aspect of these types of organizers (although this one seems to be better than the others in that the foam is a bit thicker), so I ignore that selling point for myself. When you are so inclined, you can hang it on the wall or pegboard vertically or horizontally as there are 4 holes on the back. Nevertheless, the normal retail price (plus shipping) is quite high. Like I said I bought it as a stock deal so I'm happy with the price I paid. When I'm in the mood to spend more than about $10, I opt for Pako's 50 Position Thread Organizer.
