Bought a surge protector in March 2018 and kept the RV plugged in while at home. I've also used it in several campaigns. Everything worked fine. However, a few days ago I noticed that there was no power in the camper and thought I should reset the switch. I checked the circuit breakers but they were fine. Checked surge protector - not working. Pulled the plug and saw the burnt plug. I suspect we had a power surge that blew the surge protector. The camper hasn't seen any problems so far, so I think the overvoltage has been contained by the mains filter. Now I have to order another block to get the protection. The block worked as it should. I would recommend always using one of these.
