I have a 2015 Nvidia Shield TV PRO so I used the original remote and controller. The original remote control from 2015 and 2017 was junk! That's great! I can't believe it took me this long to actually spend a whopping $29 to improve my experience. You can customize the menu button to use it for 3 different actions. You can set it up so that the volume buttons actually control the volume on your TV, NOT just the screen volume. This is a dream! They obviously have a Netflix button, and Google Assistant's voice input works fine. If you lose your remote, you can use your phone by pressing Find My Remote and the alarm will sound from the remote. I lost my old remote control EVERY DAY! The buttons are also backlit and you can adjust the brightness! You can also change how long the light stays on. You no longer have to hold the remote 5 cm away from your face at night to see which button you are pressing. If you're using an old Shield TV remote, do yourself a favour. Listen to me.
