The night vision is much better than I expected, providing amazingly clear images even in total darkness, unlike previous versions of the night vision which collected light for the night sky. It has two focus points, normal and zoom, I think maybe 3x maybe even 5x. It's either Normal or Zoom mode, no adjustment or in-between, whichever looks good at the moment. It seems pretty efficient in terms of performance, still using my first set of batteries. The only downside I would say is the browsing experience when actually looking through the device. These are not binoculars where you are looking through an actual eyepiece or lens. It's actually done digitally I think, and it displays the image on a small screen, maybe 3.5 to 4.5 inches, about the size of an iPhone 6 I'd say. This is a bit impractical, because the focus point means that you hold the device at a distance of 8 to 10 inches in front of your face, at least for me. This makes on-the-go viewing difficult at best, but then again, given the price, it's pretty impressive.
