Mysterious but essential

This book is not for beginners, but for people who are passionate about the art of lace knitting it will make an essential part of the home library. Much has already been written about the variants of crocheted lace in Great Britain and its northern islands, the Eastern European traditions of Estonia and central Russia, but the unique tradition of lace knitting in Germany is limited to publications in German. This is one of the few books available in English that describes this style of lace knitting, specifically the life's work of a distinguished man. The instructions are a bit complicated for a beginner, but clearly presented.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
