Works well with Dragon 15

I'm using this with Dragon Naturally Speaking 15. It works pretty well and is more economical than some of the other "high end" desktop mics people use for speech recommend. Text. I read 1000 words to test this and am 99% correct. I think when I did that I had 4 inches. A few mistakes were my fault. This works best when you are close (e.g. 10 to 20 cm away). I found it can work fine up to 3 times but loses some precision. Notice that because I was aware that I was checking the mic, I paid more attention to my pronunciation than usual. I'm less accurate in day-to-day use, so real-world accuracy is lower (although I wouldn't say it's the mic's fault). I wouldn't recommend this for voice calls as it doesn't sound good unless you're right over it. . It also has some static noise at high sensitivity (which the dragon algorithmically filters out I believe, so it's not an issue for speech-to-text). Also, this mic doesn't work in noisy environments as it picks up background noise relatively easily. I used it in my room as I was working from home due to COVID. The length of the microphone is good and suitable for most people. In hindsight I wish I had bought a desk mic with an adjustable length mic so I could make it longer when I reclined in my chair, but the ones I looked at with this feature were a lot more expensive. I don't have another desktop mic to compare, but I'm pleased with its 99% accuracy for less than $100.

Pros
  • understandable even for old ones
Cons
  • Some little things
