Good quality, poor features

The build and sound quality of my Mac mini is very good. No settings, just plug and play; durable metal base; The gooseneck has two comfortable flex points. My complaint relates to the mute button. I love that it's not an instant turn on sound, you press it once and it stays on. However, the button is a soft-press switch, not a dedicated on/off position. Thus, the computer itself can turn on the microphone without physical manipulation. Every time my computer wakes up, the microphone turns on…

Best mic I've ever used

I bought it for dictating at the office. Using Dragon speech recognition software. In the last 10 years or so 3 lower quality mics have gone through. always with wrong voice reading and lately no recording. In my search for the best microphone, I was drawn to this product mainly because of its noise canceling function and secondly because of its high quality appearance. I have winter heat with forced air and summer air which is quite noisy and affects other units. I was not disappointed. This…

A good inexpensive solution

Once, with the help of the seller's customer service, I found out a significant technical problem (who would have thought that such an animal could even be found today ?) , this product worked pretty well with my professional version of the Dragon 15. I'm using it now and actually dictating from about 8 inches away in an office with background noise from an air conditioner and an open door to a hallway with several people talking outside. When I first plugged it in, I couldn't figure out why…

Works well with computer microphones

I've read a lot of reviews complaining about red light. I personally like it so I know when the mic is on by toggling it on and off with the button on the base. I use it for Zoom meetings and compared the sound quality with my webcam's built-in microphone. The sound microphone greatly improves the sound quality. Clear and natural sound. Incidentally, the first Sound Tech GN-USB-2 microphone that was sent did not work. Revain sent a new one straight away and it was very easy for me to return the

Yes, it's expensive Best in Computer Accessories & Peripherals

But it's worth it. Since this pandemic, I've had several Zoom meetings each week, often speaking in front of hundreds while my family was at work or watching TV in the next room. Everyone tells me they can hear me as clearly as if I had a wired headset, with no background noise. The mute button on the base is very quiet, allowing me to discreetly mute the mic every time I reconnect without an annoying click. Two small things to note. The neck of this gooseneck microphone is very long. So if you

Works well with Dragon 15

I'm using this with Dragon Naturally Speaking 15. It works pretty well and is more economical than some of the other "high end" desktop mics people use for speech recommend. Text. I read 1000 words to test this and am 99% correct. I think when I did that I had 4 inches. A few mistakes were my fault. This works best when you are close (e.g. 10 to 20 cm away). I found it can work fine up to 3 times but loses some precision. Notice that because I was aware that I was checking the mic, I paid more…

Good for speech recognition

Purchased for use with "Dragon Medical Embedded in Meditech". Works well. I tested it objectively and found it almost as good at detecting as the PowerMic III - when used close to the mouth, not as a "far-field thing". This may be because my voice is hoarse. It actually sounds a lot better (to the human ear) than the PowerMic III. However, the PowerMic III is "very hot" to listen to - perhaps artificially enhanced to "optimize its use in a streaming environment" (pure conjecture). Dragon…

Sounds great, stable, bigger than I expected

I'm not a recording pro or an audiophile, but this mic sounds great whether I'm standing directly over it or 30cm away. when I'm in a reasonably quiet room. The base is so wide and heavy that it cannot tip over even when extended as far as possible. Although the base is quite large. I think they could make it smaller and just add some weight to balance it. The base is also higher than I think is necessary. This may have been done to make room for the electronics, but it doesn't look like…
