Purchased for use with "Dragon Medical Embedded in Meditech". Works well. I tested it objectively and found it almost as good at detecting as the PowerMic III - when used close to the mouth, not as a "far-field thing". This may be because my voice is hoarse. It actually sounds a lot better (to the human ear) than the PowerMic III. However, the PowerMic III is "very hot" to listen to - perhaps artificially enhanced to "optimize its use in a streaming environment" (pure conjecture). Dragon Medical Embedded is basically 100% "Cloud Dragon" with 1.4Mbps streaming, meaning no local processing at all, unlike MModal or DMO which I believe still have some data compression on local perform computers. Can't comment. about its use as a game accessory (Revain asked for an estimate). like I have time to play. However, based on how my recorded voice sounds, this gooseneck would be perfect for PC telephony/normal communication, which the PowerMic III never will be (sounds too distorted). By the way, this seems like a pretty solid build, although I haven't had time to wring it out.
