I've read a lot of reviews complaining about red light. I personally like it so I know when the mic is on by toggling it on and off with the button on the base. I use it for Zoom meetings and compared the sound quality with my webcam's built-in microphone. The sound microphone greatly improves the sound quality. Clear and natural sound. Incidentally, the first Sound Tech GN-USB-2 microphone that was sent did not work. Revain sent a new one straight away and it was very easy for me to return the defective one with peace of mind. Kudos to Revain and not a single star deduction for my rating. The interchangeable mic was easy to plug in and play on my MacPro.
