Lots of power: receiver and amplifier

I bought this to replace an outdated and broken Pioneer 25 disc CD changer. I'm a drummer and I needed something to play through music to play along. The first thing I noticed when I first plugged it in was that the SD card was a bit difficult to insert into the amp. I don't really care because I loaded about 600 songs onto the card so it can just stay in the amp. The amplifier cannot browse the folders on the card. At first I thought he would play the folders in alphabetical order, and then do the same with the songs in each folder until he played ZZ Top after Foreigner. After using it for a few days I thought I was at the bottom of the folder and it was going back to Aerosmith at the beginning, but that's not the case. There doesn't seem to be a reason for how it plays songs or artists, which is a big minus for me. Haven't tried the USB port yet, but I expect it will be the same. (If I'm wrong I'll post an update.) Now for the sound quality; The built in graphic equalizer is a joke. There is no way to adjust the frequencies. It has several presets like jazz, rock, normal, etc. Other than the normal settings, they all sound terrible and if you're serious about the sound you won't be happy. I was hoping for help from the included instructions, but that was a joke too. I have seen travel brochures with many pages! Before I go any further, it should be noted that I ran my old CD changer through a Techniques graphic EQ, through an Onkyo receiver, and then through a pair of 1600-watt Pyle Pro speakers. I wanted to hook up the new amp to the EQ, then the Onkyo, then the PA speakers. I turned the amp half way up and set the receiver to the volume I'm playing at and WOW! The music coming out of the speakers was fantastic! I had a full, rich, fat sound with punchy, crisp highs that I've never had before! That's why I give it such a high rating, but not the highest. It took a combination of what I already had and what I bought to get what I wanted. Now the remote control; The buttons are very small and the layout is strange. For most remote controls, the volume is louder and quieter side by side. For some reason that separated them. There's also no balance adjustment on the remote control or even the amp. The remote also needs to be pointed directly at the sensor for it to work, at least up close. (All the electronics are right behind me when I play) There's also no way to stop the song and start over. You can pause a song, but that's not the same as pausing a CD and playing it from the beginning. I usually keep the volume down while I search for the song I want to play, then turn up the volume and play the song. The only way to do that with this booster is to find the song you want, then go back to the previous song and hit pause. Then set the desired volume and press the button to skip to the next song. It's a bit fiddly, but it works. Overall, if I had to do it again I would look for an amp that had more of the features I wanted. I will not return but I will not buy again. However, if you're just looking for something to play music with and aren't as picky about the sound (like me) I would recommend this amp. I can't say anything about Bluetooth as I don't use it. feature, and probably will not.
