Haven't tried the sound and/or karaoke function, but so far so good. The sound is loud for the device's size and price. The sound quality is not the best and the switch off setting. It will not revert to your last setting. Hence the reason for my 4 star rating. I love the blue backlight on the display and the fact that you can turn down the brightness.

The remote does not control the input selection and does not control the master volume. The board is useless. No digital surround processing. No sound can be output from the subwoofer and audio out.
