This unit was easy to install once I figured out the angle I needed. There are three lengths of clips to attach it to the vent. Depending on the position of the holder, you may need to swap out different lengths to find one that works. Have a small, thin screwdriver ready for this part. I recommend you put the hook down. It seems more stable. It works great and has details that match our new RAV4 dashboard perfectly. My wife loves this because I use two cup holders between the seats and the cup holder in the door isn't configurable for her travel mug. Our Prius V had a cup holder on the dash by her window, and she used it a lot. I'm glad we were able to find this replacement for convenience and ease of use. In fact, she installed it herself.
