Bought this item to pump water out of a 14 foot row boat. Due to high water, our lake was restricted to no-wake mode and we were unable to go fast and open the drain plug to drain the water from the boat after heavy rain. This pump pumps out almost all the water down to the last drop and never has to dive into the boat. We taped a strong plastic pole to the inlet hose so we could hold it directly in the water. We installed the pump on the pier and positioned the drain hose to go into the lake. Works and downloads very quickly. This made the rescue work easier. Highly recommended for rescuing a boat moored at your pier.
